Whalers kick into gear for fall season

After graduating 10 seniors from last year’s squad, the Nantucket girls soccer team has an uphill battle for the next few seasons. Returning only a handful of players with varsity experience, the Whalers are preparing for the future of the program.

Last fall, the girls finished their second varsity season at 6-9-1 overall and 4-2 in second place in the Lighthouse Conference behind Cape Cod Academy for the second year in a row. Their six wins also marked the same total as the season before.
