As the Worlds Turn

By Geri Giannandrea

September 4 - September 10

Thursday, September 4

A harmonious alignment of the sun to Jupiter neutralizes the intensity of the Scorpio moon today. In addition, the moon interacts with the sun and Jupiter, further accentuating its influence. Take advantage of planetary patterns that are ideal for making major decisions, purchases, long-term commitments, travel plans and arrangements. Influences are most favorable before 1:41 p.m., when the sun-Jupiter alignment culminates.

Friday, September 5

Get an early start to this day. The green light for new starts goes off at 9:08 a.m., when the Scorpio moon interacts with Uranus. After that, a 90-degree lunar contact to Neptune can make it difficult to stay on track with practical matters. People may be tired, distracted, forgetful. At 11:46 a.m. the Scorpio moon becomes inactive for the remainder of the day. Finish old business rather than starting anything new. Take time for yourself. Pursue activities that help you to relax and recharge your batteries.

Saturday, September 6

The moon enters Sagittarius at 3:11 a.m., signaling the beginning of an action-packed planetary period. Events can go either way. An easygoing attitude and flexible schedule are your aces in the hole. Sleep on new ideas and don’t take action until Tuesday, Sept. 9, when the moon travels in sensible Capricorn. On the other hand, this day is prime for taking a break from routines and responsibilities. Kick back and concentrate on enjoying life to the fullest.

Sunday, September 7

Energy and emotions run high today. The giant planet Jupiter is preparing to travel in direct motion. The moon travels in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius, and Mars and Mercury form challenging 90-degree contacts to Jupiter. Read yesterday’s advice. Don’t go to extremes and take chances or do anything risky. Stop, look and listen. This can be a fun, exciting day. On the other hand, events can quickly get out of control. Be extra cautious. Maintain a balance.

Monday, September 8

Yesterday’s planetary patterns remain in effect. Take it slow and easy. At 12:16 a.m. the planet Jupiter, standing at 12.5 degrees of Capricorn, begins direct travel. The Sagittarius moon conjoins Pluto at 12:42 p.m., when it becomes inactive. Mercury aligns with Jupiter at 1:09 a.m. and Mars at 1:44 p.m. Jupiter aligns with Saturn at 7:17 p.m. The moon enters Capricorn at 3:45 p.m. Pluto begins direct travel at 11:12 p.m. Channel high energy constructively.

Tuesday, September 9

Roll up your sleeves and take on a full agenda today. Plan to get important projects off the ground before 4:54 p.m., when the Capricorn moon conjoins expansive Jupiter. In addition, the moon forms a harmonious contact to Saturn at 5:07 p.m. A 90-degree alignment of Venus and Jupiter neutralizes the conservative, potentially negative side of a Capricorn moon. On the other hand, don’t go to extremes and make extravagant purchases or promises. Lunar alignments to Mars and Mercury warn you to keep the rhetoric down this evening. Lighten up and mellow out.

Wednesday, September 10

If you plan to initiate new activities, you must begin before 9:15 a.m. At this time the Capricorn moon aligns with Uranus and becomes inactive for the remainder of the day. Since the moon travels in ambitious Capricorn, you can be most productive. Finish projects already begun, review and redo. Follow through on promises you have made to others, repay debts and fulfill commitments.
